Ten researchers at U-M are combining their considerable resources, talent and experience to find a solution. Now they just have to figure out the problem. The team’s project, led by U-M professor Johannes Schwank, is titled REFRESCH, short for “Researching Fresh Solutions to the Energy/Water/Food Challenge in Resource-Constrained Environments.” The Global Challenge grant is funding the exploratory phase where the team will engage students and with them, find an energy/resource problem, figure out how to solve it and commercialize the result. More
